Albuquerque's LAN

So are there gonna be some LANs anytime soon, or what? I'm getting all weepy-eyed, remembering the days when I would mop the floor with all ya'll in MOHAA.
I've recently picked up an addiction to poorly translated, korean freeware games. I'm sure most of you are familiar with Gunbound (which has grown quite stale, IMHO). There's also a couple MMORPGs that have come to my attention as well.
The first being Pristontale. More or less, it's your generic hack n' slash MMORPG. You can choose one out of eight different classes, (and one of three different faces, wooo) each with it's own little perks as far as stats are concerned. After you hit level 10, attack skills become available to you, as well as quests apparently (though I've yet to find any). The graphics are pretty impressive considering this is freeware. Camera will often get wonky however, and makes moving in a straight line near impossible. My favorite part of the game is bartering with all the other assholes online. The general player populace is made up mostly by narrow-minded power gamers. Very few folks show any personality around these parts, and it can get a little old.
All in all, though, it's a pretty neat game, that'll eat the crap outta your time. Hacking through horde after horde of bunny blob thingies has never been so soothing.
The next game I'm thinking of is Ragnarok Online. I know absolutely shit about this game, mainly because I didn't have enough cash to try it out (That and I can't find out exactly how much it is anywhere on their site). Can anybody give me a synopsis on it? I'm damned intrigued, and the art is pretty.
That is all. Woo. |
