albuquerque vets- for chihuahua [Jul. 25th, 2005|04:57 pm]
Albuquerque's LAN

i need a vet for my chihuahua to get her baby teeth pulled, shots, and a worming test.

any recommendations for the albuquerque/los lunas/rio rancho areas in new mexico?

i'm mostly concerned about my dog going under- supposedly for teeth pulling you don't have to put them all the way under (which is what i want, i don't want her all the way out and then possibly not waking up).

the vet i was going to use said it would depend at the time of the pulling- if the dog was "mean" (my dog isn't mean but yes she does get FRIGHTENED) then they'd put it all the way under without owner consent so the vet wouldn't get bit... my reaction to that is "she's a 3 pound RAT- you'd risk killing her just so your fingers don't get gnawed on?"

*sigh* she needs her teeth done but i'm so scared. (she does need them done, she's over a year and still has most of her baby teeth and they bother her)

Listen up, fools! I have here a link to one of the first games designed to be a multi-player deathmatch, originally programmed in the early 80's. It's called Sopwith, as in the bi-plane, and you must download it, and play it, and love it.

This I command!

So are there gonna be some LANs anytime soon, or what? I'm getting all weepy-eyed, remembering the days when I would mop the floor with all ya'll in MOHAA.

I've recently picked up an addiction to poorly translated, korean freeware games. I'm sure most of you are familiar with Gunbound (which has grown quite stale, IMHO). There's also a couple MMORPGs that have come to my attention as well.

The first being Pristontale. More or less, it's your generic hack n' slash MMORPG. You can choose one out of eight different classes, (and one of three different faces, wooo) each with it's own little perks as far as stats are concerned. After you hit level 10, attack skills become available to you, as well as quests apparently (though I've yet to find any). The graphics are pretty impressive considering this is freeware. Camera will often get wonky however, and makes moving in a straight line near impossible. My favorite part of the game is bartering with all the other assholes online. The general player populace is made up mostly by narrow-minded power gamers. Very few folks show any personality around these parts, and it can get a little old.

All in all, though, it's a pretty neat game, that'll eat the crap outta your time. Hacking through horde after horde of bunny blob thingies has never been so soothing.

The next game I'm thinking of is Ragnarok Online. I know absolutely shit about this game, mainly because I didn't have enough cash to try it out (That and I can't find out exactly how much it is anywhere on their site). Can anybody give me a synopsis on it? I'm damned intrigued, and the art is pretty.

That is all. Woo.

Upcoming RPG Games List [Oct. 8th, 2003|05:40 pm]

heres a list, with links, of upcoming games and expansions that i find to be either interesting or rantable or.. well whatever. it's a list of games that aren't out yet. look who's STILL bored at work...

so a lot of these are MMORPGs, because that seems to be what people are making nowadays. it seems that the game companies finally caught on that you make a lot more money with a returning player base who is paying a lot to play the SAME game over and over and over and...

Because it's a long list, cut...Collapse )

growl. bordom at work does odd things to me.

for instance, i was really bored, so i decided to look and see how Horizons was shaping up. if you don't know horizons, it's an as-yet unreleased MMORPG.

and damn, does it look good.

long rant, so cut for your convenienceCollapse )

anyone interested in setting up city spanning 802.11b wireless ethernet with the NODE? Check this Also we've set up a vpn server which gives you access to all of the latest shiz we have available. If you would care to link up with us let me know. We have a few requirements if you do, but I think they're totally worth it.

Also does anyone have any idea how to make a homemade repeater for wireless ethernet. I've heard that it's been done before but I've never seen it.
